Screening Virtual Colonoscopy — Ready for Prime Time?

The New England Journal of Medicine editorial in December, 2003 concluded that this X-ray study of the colon was equivalently effective to optical colonoscopy for screening for colon polyps. Dr. Kanner is supportive of this alternative for most patients undergoing initial colon screening.
